Meg Runs Bristol Half Marathon for Touch Trust 19/09/2018

On 23rd September 2018, Meg Fears will be running the Bristol Half Marathon and will be raising funds for Touch Trust.  Touch Trust is close to Meg's heart as her brother, Greg, has been attending music and touch therapy sessions at the charity for many years.

"It is an amazing place, " explained Meg.  "Everytime I go there I come away feeling lighter as if all the stresses of he world have been washed away!"

Meg is studing paediatric nursing at Swansea University, a career path inspired by the care that her brother has received from hospitals and the South Wales hospice, Ty Hafan.

"I wanted to raise the money for Touch Trust as it is a small Welsh charity," said Meg.

This is not the first time that Meg has taken on a challenge to raise money for Touch Trust.  In 2014, she joined Dilys Price OBE, the founder of the charity, on a 'oldest and youngest' skydive.  The challenge raised over £3,000.

"I am more concerned about the half marathon than I was about the skydive," said Meg.  "I've trained hard and can't wait to get started.  The support I've received so far has been amazing and I just hope to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity."
